    Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Hi, my name is Sisenia Salinas Sherman. I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Full Practice Authority in Illinois. I started my nursing career right when I came to America in May 2002. I completed my Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) at Harper College in May 2005. I was offered multiple scholarships throughout the program, became a recipient of the National Dean’s List, and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor’s Society. During my last semester in school, I worked at Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in their Medical Telemetry Unit. This was also where I landed my first nursing job. I will never forget the person who believed in me, and hired me, as NCH gave me such a strong foundation in healthcare. In 2010, the whole unit transitioned to a Neurology Unit. In 2011, I started my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Grand Canyon University. I graduated in March 2013. The following year in 2014, I started my Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree. I graduated in 2016 with a perfect GPA of 4.0. I was on the President’s List in both of my BSN and MSN degrees. I continued to work full-time at NCH while advancing my career. I changed roles, from an Acute Care Neurology Nurse to an Acute Care Emergency Room (ER) Nurse and a Clinical Nurse Consultant at the same time, all at NCH. In August 2016, I started my Post Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Degree at Olivet Nazarene University, which I completed in February 2018. I received an invitation to the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society throughout my whole BSN, MSN, and Post Graduate FNP degrees. I left NCH in 2019 to start my career as a Nurse Practitioner. I was a Clinical Care Coordinator when I left.

I am a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I am a member of the of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). I completed the Clean Start Weight Loss Ketogenic/Intermittent Training Program through the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM) in December 2021. I have completed 40 hours of didactic training, 16 hours of live cases, and 16 hours of hands-on training in Tumescent Liposuction using a High Definition Liposculpture and Fat Transfer with Fun Sculpting in January 2019. I have performed multiple procedures of tumescent liposuction with fat transfer with a double-boarded physician and mentor, as well as independently.

However, my experience as an NP has always primarily revolved around the urgent/immediate, subacute, and long-term care settings. I have worked for two insurance companies, where health prevention is given significant emphasis, as this results in lower healthcare costs. I have witnessed first-hand since 2020 how semaglutide has helped my diabetic and non-diabetic patients lose weight, and bring their body mass index to a healthier level. A considerable number of these patients have knee and back issues, and their activity level is very low. They are also not conscious of the type of food they are consuming. Despite that, their weight loss is apparent. It has given them a partial health reboot so that they can start a new, structured, and sustainable routine for better health.

I am very happy and excited to start this new practice, where health restoration and maintenance, and disease prevention are the primary focus. The most important part of staying fit is not in one’s appearance, but in how it makes one feel. If you are already a happy person, it is even more important to keep yourself healthy, so you can continue to live a fuller life with your loved ones for as long as possible.

I cannot wait to have a conversation with you. I strive every single day to live a healthy life for myself and for my loved ones. I am very passionate about that, and I want to share that passion with you. My husband and I share a strong love for the outdoors, and we challenge each other in a lot of sports. We have two Boston Terriers, and we always take them on vacations with us. We are constantly working on better ways to take our two cats with us too.

Lastly, I cannot end this without thanking my siblings, Hermes, Daria, Linlin, and Harley. They have been an enormous support throughout my whole life. My love for them is constant. Every day I try to be a better person for my mom, sister, and my dad in heaven. Of course, I am always grateful for my husband, Patrick, the most emotionally intelligent person I have ever met. He is my love and peace. Thank you to my in-laws, especially Pete, Kathy, and my favorite, Aunt Barbara.

    Sincerely,

    Sisenia Salinas-Sherman, MSN, APRN-FPA, FNP-BC

Hi, my name is Maude Moreno.

Since then, I have immersed myself in various yoga disciplines including Iyengar, 26-posture Hot Yoga, Yin, Deep Stretch, Vinyasa, Aerial Yoga, YogaTune-up TM balls, Chair Yoga, and Somatic, enriching my understanding and practice. I have garnered certifications around Yoga Therapy, Mindfulness and Functional Movement along the way. I embrace a diverse range of fitness modalities, including kettlebell training, weightlifting, barre, boxing, Indian clubs, steel mace, Pilates, swim-bike-run events, dance, and trampoline fitness, among others. In 2021, I founded Yoga and Movement with Maude LLC.

Shortly after, I got diagnosed with Dysautonomia, and bid goodbye to my corporate career. This life-altering event fueled my commitment to exploring the therapeutic benefits of yoga, particularly in relation to the nervous system. I teach Yoga and mindfulness in the corporate space on-site in offices, as well as virtually from my home studio. I continue to offer public and private classes and engage as a wellness public speaker and wellness retreat facilitator.

I currently live in North Carolina with my husband, Joen, and two rescue Chihuahuas, Cadence and Tempo.

I am excited to be a part of your weight loss journey at Reboot Health!
